Message one rod journal for the sake of simplicity.

Are you saying that the rod journal is also crossdrilled (two exits)? Or do you mean that it is drilled to intersect the hole drilled from the journal cheek to the main? - which is not "crossdrilled" in the true sense of the word.

While the VG crank is crossdrilled, the fact that the rod journal oil holes intersect in the center of the crossdrill hole would suggest that although the oil must first overcome centripetal force to flow, it is equal on both sides of the crossdrill. Whereas the typical crossdrilled V8 crank has a substantial difference from one side of the crossdrill to the other (e.g. zero vs cetripetal force) which would create a pressure surge at the rod.

Please define a "high speed oil sytem". I've seen the old Callies auxiliary oil hole, which is a smaller secondary hole drilled in the rod journal, but as I understand, a "high-speed oil system" is that which resembles the age-old V8 layout.
